DECASULT was the Independent Certifier (IC) of this major new hospital center project in Montreal, which brought together five partner hospitals of the McGill University Health Center (MUHC) in a public-private partnership project (PPP).
The new facilities, located at the Glen Campus on the West Island of Montreal, included 500 beds and 19 operating rooms. The site, which opened in 2015, combines the largest integrated care facility for children and adults in the province of Quebec. It includes, among other things, a Research Center, a Cancer Treatment Center and several ambulatory units.
DECASULT’s mandate as CI was to ensure that the project’s delivery complied with the terms of the partnership agreement concluded between the MUHC and its private partner, GISM. This mandate included active participation in the handling of disputes notified to the CI, as well as the certification of the substantial and final completion milestones of all buildings, and the certification of the project’s progressive milestones.
