Eric Chiniara
Eric Chiniara holds a degree in Commerce from Concordia University in Montreal, an MBA from HEC Montreal, and the Project Management Professional® (PMP) certification from the PMI.
Having started his career at DECASULT in 2013, where he has been involved in the budgetary management of both public and private sector projects, he has contributed to the development and implementation of the firm’s proprietary cost-control system, derived from its distinctive methods and in line with the industry’s best practices.
He has undertaken various corporate roles in the firm, including finance and HR management. His involvement in these activities has resulted in the implementation of several policies making DECASULT a top employer in its industry.
His people-oriented management style makes him a highly valued member of the firm’s clients and employees.
Gabriel Chiniara
Gabriel Chiniara has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He is a past president of the Montreal chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). During his career, he has distinguished himself in some of the most prestigious projects in Montreal.
Gabriel Chiniara is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (FIRAC), and a retired member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec. He holds a master’s degree in architecture, as well as the PMI’s Project Management Professional® (PMP) certification.
Jean-Claude Champagne
Mr. Champagne is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada, and a member of the Ordre des architectes and the Ordre des ingénieurs of Québec. He holds a master’s degree in architecture, as well as Project Management Professional® (PMP) and Risk Management Professional® (PMI-RMP) certifications from the PMI, as well as being a certified mediator and arbitrator by the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ).
Having started his professional career in 1974, Mr. Champagne has accumulated experience in strategic planning, project management, technical services, finance, administration and human resources management acquired during the development of major infrastructure projects in the public and private sectors in Canada, as well as internationally. From this period, he has a solid experience in the management of large owned and leased real estate portfolios.
For more than 30 years, he held various senior management positions in government agencies in Quebec after a career as an engineering officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, for which he received the Canadian Decoration (CD) for services rendered.
Since 2011, Mr. Champagne has played a key role as a Senior Advisor in the development of the firm’s specialized work methods, particularly in risk management and various project delivery modes.
Sophie Cousineau
Sophie Cousineau joined DECASULT’s Board of Directors in 2024.
Sophie Cousineau is Director of Sustainability at Power Sustainable, a climate-focused alternative asset manager. Previously, she held the positions of vice-president, ESG & Corporate Affairs, at engineering firm WSP and vice-president, sustainable investment and ESG, at CDPQ, where she worked for eight years. Prior to joining this pension fund manager, Sophie Cousineau led a close to 20-year career as a business reporter and columnist, working for national newspapers such as La Presse and The Globe & Mail.
Sophie Cousineau holds an executive MBA from Oxford University, a M.Sc. in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a B.A. (joint honours) in Economics and Political Science from McGill University.
Anne LaBrecque
Both PMP-certified and a member of the Quebec Order of Architects, Anne LaBrecque is an accomplished professional whose career has been fueled by her passion for Project Management.
With over 25 years’ experience in the planning and execution of major construction and infrastructure projects, she has contributed to projects as diverse as the Maison symphonique de la Place des arts in Montreal, the Lac-Leamy Hotel Complex, the new Sorel-Tracy detention center and IBM’s data center in Bromont. Her extensive knowledge and understanding of the industry, as well as her ability to grasp a project’s key issues, reflect DECASULT’s mission of excellence.
Since joining the firm as a Senior Project Manager, Anne LaBrecque has contributed to the success of complex project management mandates, in which her experience and acumen have proven to be critical in the management of projects with numerous stakeholders. She joined DECASULT’s Board of Directors in 2024.

Martine Patenaude
Martine Patenaude has accumulated more than 30 years of relevant work experience in the Quebec construction and real estate development industries, holding senior positions in renowned organizations such as Cadillac Fairview and Ivanhoé-Cambridge, where she supervised the development of major projects in Montreal. Throughout her experience, she has honed recognized leadership skills in managing large and diversified design and construction teams.
Ms. Patenaude is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and holds both PA LEED and PMP® certification, the latter from the PMI.
Nikolai Miljevic
Nikolai Miljevic’s first professional experience was in the communications and public relations sector. Then, starting in the 1990s, he developed relevant work experience in Project Management at the national and international levels.
At DECASULT, he manages and coordinates the production of governmental feasibility studies (Dossiers d’opportunité / d’affaires) under the regulatory framework of the Directive sur la gestion des projets majeurs d’infrastructure publique. He has also recently taken a large role in the planning of the firm’s expansion as Vice President of Business Development.
Mr. Miljevic holds an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal, and the Project Management Professional® (PMP) certification from the PMI.
Michel Laguerre
Michel Laguerre has been working in the construction industry since 2008. His collaborative approach is appreciated by clients and the various project stakeholders of the mandates he has been involved in. He has held various project management positions in institutional and health sectors projects, such as the Montreal Neurological Institute expansion projec, as well as to the Reallocation of vacated spaces project at the University of Montreal. He is currently a key member of the New Vic project team at McGill University.
Mr. Laguerre is a member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec. He holds a master’s degree in architecture and is PMP®-certified by the PMI. He has also completed a graduate microprogram in business administration.
Iana Eremeev
After acquiring relevant experience in the construction services industry, she decided in 2014 to complete a certificate in professional accounting at HEC Montréal. Then, upon working for a number of years at a leading Montreal architectural firm, she joined DECASULT in January 2020 as Director of Accounting.
Maurice Landry
Maurice Landry is an engineer, a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), and a graduate of the École de technologie supérieure. He is also a certified Project Management Professional® (PMP).
With several technical jobs in the manufacturing industry at the start of his career, he decided to move into Project Management in the early 1990s. His industry-recognized know-how enabled him to work for five years in the STM’s project office for the replacement of metro cars. This experience led to his appointment as Senior Vice-President, Infrastructure and Project Management at the Olympic Park, where he oversaw the site’s major transformations for more than a decade.
In 2018, Maurice Landry was named Project Manager of the Year by the Montreal chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). In 2023, he has decided to lend his expertise to DECASULT’s large-scale projects, for which he acts as Project Director.
Xavier Trudel
Holder of a PMP® certification and currently completing an MBA at HEC Montreal, Xavier Trudel has been contributing to the DECASULT’s development for several years. With several years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction and I.T. industries, his know-how benefits the integration of new technologies in the company’s key processes.
Salma Drissi Kamili
Salma Drissi Kamili holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from HEC Montréal, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from ENAP Montréal, and certification as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources from the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA).
Having begun her career at DECASULT in 2022, she is now Director of Human Resources, where she has contributed to the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures based on best practices in the field. Alongside these successful efforts, she contributes to the enhancement of a work environment conducive to the values of collaboration, inclusiveness and diversity that reflect the company’s core values.
Her approach focuses on human capital and remains centered on the continuous optimization of the employee experience and team well-being, which she ensures by promoting talent development and professional fulfillment. Ms. Drissi Kamili supports the firm by monitoring trends and best practices in HR, in order to support knowledge-sharing and maintain an objective of continuous improvement of the company’s evolution as an employer.
