DECASULT supported Immobilière Banque Nationale in the management of this major project, which heralded the return of the National Bank of Canada (NBC) to its historic origins on Saint-Jacques Street in Old Montreal. Place Banque Nationale is a unique and prestigious signature project, worthy of NBC’s new head office, located in the heart of Montreal’s business district.
The 40-storey, almost 200 m-high building is one of the largest office towers in downtown Montreal. The project also includes the development of a 4,000m2 public urban park. The project’s sustainable development objectives include LEED NC Gold certification.
The building’s interior design prioritizes occupant well-being, with an emphasis on collaborative, open and bright workspaces. In addition to open-plan office space, the project includes a multi-purpose room, a cafeteria with outdoor terrace, a daycare center, a fitness center, indoor bicycle parking with changing rooms and showers, and an outdoor garden at the top of the building.
The project took over 6 years to complete, and was inaugurated in September 2024. Place Banque Nationale perfectly illustrates the harmony between technology, modernity and environmental responsibility.
DECASULT received the prestigious Elixir Award for PROJECT OF THE YEAR 2024, awarded by PMI-Montreal for the excellence associated with the project management of this emblematic tower.
