This flagship project involves the creation of an inclusive cultural space in Montreal whose mission is to “preserve and promote the cultural and artistic heritage of Black communities through innovation and cultural exchange.”
For this project, the CCAM acquired the former École des beaux-arts in downtown Montréal and plans to renovate and expand the building.

PRIMARY CHALLENGES
- Restoration of a heritage building that had been empty for several decades and the construction of a new wing to house the auditorium.
- This project required several complex processes and approvals due to the heritage status of the existing building.
