In 2006, the Université de Montréal (UdeM) acquired a former Canadian Pacific railroad yard, located in the Outremont borough, not far from its main campus. This acquisition allowed it to plan a historic expansion of its teaching and research activities, and gave birth to the university’s new Campus MIL.
The first development phase of this new site consisted in the construction of its Science Complex, a new pavilion bringing together the departments of chemistry, physics, geography and biological sciences of the university’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Arranged in two wings, the complex, which opened its doors in 2019, was designed to promote exchanges between researchers and students of these disciplines, and offers its users an exceptional learning environment.
DECASULT was retained as Lead Project Manager within the university’s Project Management Office for the realization of this first phase of the Campus MIL.
